Theta Phi Alpha Colleges & Universities
Theta Phi Alpha was founded at the University of Michigan in 1912.

The Chicago Area Alum Association was formed in 1980 by several Alpha Gamma chapter alumnae. We are proud of the diverse numbers of chapters represented in our membership.

  • This website links to the colleges & universities of many of our Chicago Area Alumnal Association's members. Campuses hosting Theta Phi Alpha's active collegiate chapters are listed on the National Theta Phi Alpha website at www.thetaphialpha.org. We welcome ALL Theta Phi Alpha alumnae to participate in our association. We even have a 5 years for $5 dues program for alums of other areas. If you live in the area or are from a local chapter, dues are also quite affordable, and we also have multi-year discount programs.
  • Theta Phi Alpha's overall mission shows how much we, as an organization, value education. We are proud that we offer our sisters an opportunity to meet with other university and college educated women in a variety of age groups and professions.
  • Our mission is to provide our sisterhood with opportunities for interaction to advance social and philanthropic interests, career networking, and to promote lifelong bonds of friendship.
